Special Needs

It is inspired by an emblematic song by Placebo, composed while recording for their second album, "Without You I'm Nothing" in 1998 but appearing on the band's fourth album, "Sleeping with Ghosts" in 2003. The video was filmed in London, in a disused swimming pool in Hackney.

The song is about rebellion, addiction, time spent in rehabilitation and self destruction, while also being nostalgic about the love and fame they used to share. Frontman Brian Molko and bassist Stefan Olsdal describe the track as making love to a memory, unable to let go.
